November 18 A Night Gone Bad
As promised, here is my story about a night gone horribly wrong after playing with an Ouija Board.... At the age of 15, some friends and I were at a sleepover. We were having great fun with the pranks, and such- then someone pulled out the board. Not having a reason to fear it, or so I thought at the time, I was all for it. We gathered around the board, six girls in total. Everyone was trying to decide what question to ask. We all put our fingertips on the planchette, and started moving it in circles. The first girl asked her question, and obviously got the answer she wanted. I could feel the girl next to me pushing the planchette to the letters she wanted. After about 30 minutes three of the girls quit playing, I guess since they had asked their questions they were bored. My turn came last. My question was simply this, 'if there really is an existence after death, show me.' Wrong thing to do! The planchette started spinning wildly on the board, the other two girls accused me of doing it. At that point, feeling very uncomfortable, I raised my fingertips from it and watched as it started spinning even more madly. The other two girls tried to let go, but it was like their fingertips were superglued to the planchette. Then the planchette started going to different letters. over and over it spelled out the same message. "We do exist, release us." Scary does not even begin to describe how the situation became. I was horribly sure that something was going to come out of that board. I didn't know what to do. So I picked up the board and flipped it upside down. The planchette stayed on the bottom stuck. The two girls were able to get free from it. I sat there in front of that damn board, and kept muttering, 'go away, just go away.' Finally it stopped. All of the other girls would not speak to me the rest of the night. It was like I was some evil person that they had never seen before. From that moment I made up my mind not share any of my experiences with people who I didn't trust. Of course by writing this blog in this space, is just a way to enlighten others on the dangers of playing with things we can't control. And I hope that it does that. ~Nisey~ October 21 The Graveyard Part 3
Part 3
As most of you have guessed,
not all of this tale is true.
Most of it is, with the exception
of personally witnessing a
Satanic Ritual. However, during
this period of time, There were
several local disapperances
attributed to Satanist activity.
I did personally witness, along
with my Dad, evidence of their
activities...
Beheaded chickens lined a
stretch of HWY 80, robed figures
around a fire in a field, mutilated
pets hanging from farm fences, were
just a few of the things we saw.
To this day, these things continue
on in our area.
A note of warning: playing with
forces you can't control or
understand, can and most likely
will backfire on you. Soon I
will bring you another tale about
an experience with an Ouija board.
And if you are even the
slightest bit 'sensitive',
I would advise against trying
to use one......

October 19 The Graveyard Part 2
PART 2
Throbbing pain that took my breath away,
brought me out of the darkness. I could feel the warmth of a fire
on my face. Slowly opening my eyes, everything was hazy and blurred.
Blinking rapidly, trying to get my eyes focused, I realized I was
laying on the ground in front of a popping, crackling fire. Slowly
rolling my aching head from side to side, I could see my boyfriend
sitting next to me, and on the other side sat two of our friends.
They were sitting around chatting and giggling. Suddenly rmembering
what had occured before the world went black, I sat up too fast,
and immediately leaned over to one side and started dry-heaving.
My boyfriend caught me around the shoulders and
held me while I was sick. When I felt like I could sit up without
barfing, I straightened up and leaned back onto him. I was shaking
and crying. He asked me if the pain was really bad. I demanded to
know what had happened after I was knocked out. He said that after
I had fallen and hit my head on a gravestone, he and the others built a
fire and waited for me to wake up. I asked him what happened with the
robed men we had seen. He leaned away from me and asked, "What
robed men?" I looked at him and said, "Are you joking? What happened
to our other friends? You know the ones that were tied up?" He
laughed and told me that I must have really bashed my head hard.
I was still shaky and crying, harder than before.
"They could be dead, and you are sitting there laughing at me!" I yelled.
He looked at the others, and they were all laughing at me. i couldn't
stand it anymore. I climbed to my feet and started running away from them.
My now ex-boyfriend came after me, grabbed my arm,
and apologized for laughing. He claimed that I must of had a nightmare
while I was unconscious. That everybody else had gotten bored and had
gone home. Desperately wanting to believe him, I asked him to take me
back to my friend's house where I was spending the night. After telling
the others goodnight, he walked me back. I told him i would see him at
school on Monday. After letting myself into my friend's house, I went
upstairs to her room, she was already asleep.
Still very upset over the whole surreal experience,
I woke her up and asked her if she had seen me fall. She said no, that
she and her guy had left before anybody else did. I told her that I thought
I had seen something really bad, but the others said that I had fallen and
hit my head.
She got up, turned on the light, and saw the blood on my
jacket. She checked my scalp and said that it was cut pretty deep. She
helped me clean it up, and then I went to bed. When we were both
stretched out, she asked me what I thought I had seen. Feeling really
embarrassed now, I just told her that I thought I had seen two of our
friends hurt. She said she would call them the next day, just to make sure
they were okay. Comforted by that, I drifted into sleep.
On Monday at school, the news was buzzing. Our two
friends hadn't gone home Halloween night and were nowhere to be found...
TO BE CONTINUED........ October 14 The Graveyard part 1
Imagine a dusky chilled evening, the sun in the last stage of setting, the red and purple bleeding into the black-blue of dark. A crisp wind sloughing gently enough for a sneak attack on unprotected limbs, crunchy leaves falling in a shower of autumnal sparks. Woodsmoke wreathing chimneys, snaking up to the stars.
This was the setting one long ago Halloween night, a night I will never forget.....
Some friends decided it would be fun to play in a nearby cemetary, always up for an adventure, I was ready to go. As we walked up the street, the street lights sizzled and popped on as the last of the day bled into night. Giggling teenage girls and braying, bragging teenage boys, I guess we could be considered a semi-rowdy bunch. But with no maliciousness planned, just some thrills and chills from being in a cemetary after dark on Halloween night. Actually none of us could afford to go to the local haunted house, so we were looking for own frights. Drawing closer to the entrance of the cemetary, we saw some older kids leaving our 'playground.' We ducked behind some tall bushes in the hope of going unnoticed, we didn't want their company on this adventure. They moved away in the opposite direction. Our path was clear! Taking off at a run, we slipped through the gates just before the caretaker could come and lock them up. Now all we had to do was hide until he did his duty and left for the night, then our adventure could begin!
Half an hour later, we were walking through the graveyard, flashlights in hand, reading headstones. Fascinating as it was to read some of the dates and realize how old some of the graves were, it was becoming a little spookier by the second. Everytime I accidently stepped directly on someone's grave, I would feel a chill go up my spine. Some of the kids were actually sitting on the headstones! I was beginning to think the whole thing was a bad idea. But since I didn't want to be called a chicken, I just kept walking and shining my flashlight on the older stones. After about an hour of the boys jumping out at us girls, trying to scare us, the kids started drifting off in couples. My boyfriend at the time was dragging on my arm trying to pull me down into his lap. After giving a few minutes of resistance, i sank down to the ground beside him, next to an old grave. We kissed for awhile and when he started getting other ideas, I pulled away from him and stood up. Protesting, he tried to drag me back down. But there was no way I was giving up anything in a graveyard! Playing tug-a-war, some noise caught our attention. It came from ahead and to the right of us.
Curious, we went to investigate the noise. Not seeing any of our friends anywhere, we assumed it was them trying to scare us. So we decided to get the jump on them and struck out towards the far left and then circled back around so that we would come out at the far end of the graveyard. Then we strted back, darting from tree to tree.
Never imagining what we were about to stumble into, we snuck closer to the sound of voices, and what appeared to be firelight. I couldn't believe what I witnessed. I thought it had to be a joke or gag- something to frighten the younger kids! There were about 10 robed figures in a semi-circle, swaying and chanting, around a firepit. Two other robed figures, standing on the other side of the fire, looking down on two of our friends. Our friends had been stripped, gagged and staked out on the ground.
In a panic, I tried to get my boyfriend to go get help, but he refused to leave my side. I told him we both would go for help, he just shook his head in the negative. I tried to pull him away from the horrifying site, but he was frozen in place. I heard something behind us, and as I spun around to see what it was, pain shot through the back of my head and everything went black........

will be back soon! September 18 Uncle R
Tonite, I am going to relate a story about my
husband's uncle, who I will refer to as R.
When R was growing up, he was considered a very
mean young boy. He was constantly getting into
trouble. He had no respect for his parents, or the
rest of his family. He would rob Coke machines,
vandalize buildings, and he ran with a gang.
In his teens, R and his brother would be walking
home, and they would hear footsteps behind them.
When they stopped the footsteps stopped, and
when they started walking again, the footsteps
would resume. Time and again, they would
stop and turn, only to see nothing behind them.
Several people have stated that they saw a
red glowing figure, following behind R and his
brother. Shortly after this started happening,
R, who shared a bedroom with his brother,
would be sleeping only to wake up with
half his body hanging out the bedroom window.
R said that he felt someone grabbing his
ankles and pulling him from his bed. His
brother witnessed this, and saw nothing
but R going out the window. R became
convinced that Satan was pulling him out the
window. R's dad boarded up the window,
only to find R being pulled out again,
that very night. There was nobody outside
the window or anywhere around.
After several months of this happening,
R made a turnabout in his lifestyle.
He quit being so mean to his family,
and tried to live his life better. When it
became apparent that R was changing for
the better, the incidents stopped.
Later in life, R got saved and started living
for the Lord... September 10 Urban LegendsUrban
Legends
Urban Legends- according to Webster:
an often lurid story or anecdote that is based on heresay
and widely circulated as truth.
Well, I have to say that I believe some of them to be very true!
I have spent some time reading about different urban legends,
and I would like to share some of the stories I have found.
I am going to write about three tonight, that are not
commonly told. At least, I had not previously heard
these stories, but if you have, I hope you enjoy them
again.
Baby Bridge- In 1800's Georgia; the story goes like this....
A poor farmer and his wife found they were expecting
their 5th child. The farmer knew that they would not be
able to afford another mouth to feed as they were
close to starving as a family of six.
The farmer and the doctor, who oversaw the
birth of the 5th child, a boy, told the wife that the
child had died during childbirth. As previously agreed on,
the doctor took the newborn with him as he left the farmhouse.
When he reached a nearby bridge, he dropped the baby boy over the
side and left him to die.
It is said that on a clear night
during a full moon, if you drive your car
to the center of the highest point of the bridge,
and get out of your car, sprinkle baby powder in a
circle around your car, get back into your car, turn off the
engine and lights for a full 10 minutes. You will then hear the sound
of an infant crying. If you get out of the car, you will find baby footprints
in the powder you sprinkled.
School Bus Tracks- reportedly in San Antonio, Texas;
A school bus full of kids on their way home
from a full day of school, stalled on a series of railroad
tracks. The driver frantically tried to restart the bus, while the
kids observed a speeding train headed their way, in fact coming straight
for them. The driver realized their was no time to evacuate the bus
before the train hit. The driver and all of the kids died on that
bus. A few years later, a man driving home from work,
stalled on the same spot as the bus, tried to restart
his car with no success. Seeing the train coming
towards him, the man closed his eyes.
At that point, his car was
somehow pushed to safety, and the
train missed his bumper by inches. He claimed
that he could hear the screams of kids as his car was
being pushed out of the way of the speeding locamotive.
The BunnyMan Bridge- after the civil war, in Fairfax County, Virginia;
An insane asylum was built as the population swelled. Due to
public outrage, in 1904, it was shut down. During the last
of the transfers of the patients, several escaped. All but
two of them were found. The two missing patients were
Marcus Lawster and Douglas Griffen. Local authorities
found a trail they believed belonged to the two
escapees. The trail was littered with half eaten mutilated
bunnies. As they followed the trail into the deep woods, they
came upon a tunnel bridge. Strangely, they found Marcus Lawster
hanging from the tunnel bridge entrance with a note attached to his foot.
It read, "You'll never find me no matter how hard you try!
Signed, The Bunny Man."
Legend says that if you walk all the way down the tunnel
at midnight, The Bunny Man will grab you and then hang you
at the entrance of the tunnel bridge.
Weird phenomena and strange deaths are connected to the
tunnel bridge to this day. A young man from Clifton, Virginia,
found the tunnel bridge by accident while out hiking. Later,
he went home and killed his parents, dragged them through the
woods and hung them at the entrance of the tunnel. Then he
killed himself. Halloween 1943, three teens, 2 boys and 1 girl went
to the tunnel bridge on a dare. They didn't come home. The next day
their bodies were found slashed open hanging from the tunnel entrance.
They each had notes attached to their feet. The notes all read,
"You'll never catch the Bunny Man!"
In 2001, after hearing the stories, six local students and a guide
decided to investigate the area. During the search, they found
mutilated bunny parts, and heard strange noises on the trail
to the tunnel, as they drew closer to the tunnel entrance,
they saw several figures moving around the entrance.
They left the area.
Well I leave it to you to decide if you think there
is any validity to these tales. There are many
myths and legends out there and I hope to share more with
you in the near future. As to my own drama here at home,
I am right now at this moment, watching a figure pace in front
of my bedroom door. I have been asked, why haven't I
tried speaking to the spirit. I will explain my reason
for not doing so. I believe wholeheartedly, that trying
to speak to or give attention to any spirit, gives it
more energy. I do Not want to do that. I think given time
it will eventually dissipate on it's own.

August 31 The Saga goes on
As of yesterday, hubby informed me
that he is seeing things. He said that he couldn't
sleep for the man walking back and forth in front
of the bedroom doors. He said that he saw it
and at first just thought it was me.
It wasn't me...
I tried telling him that it wasn't a bad
spirit, but he didn't sleep at all last night.
In fact he kept me up until 3am playing
on the computer.
Then I awoke at 7am hearing the melodic
click, click, click of the keyboard. He didn't
even bother going to bed. When I told him he
was keeping me awake, he just got a scared
look on his face, but reluctantly got up from
the computer and went into the kitchen.
By that time, I was awake and a little grumpy.
Then the kittens started freaking out.
It is going to be one of those lonnnggg days... August 27 Ghosthunting 101Hey All,
I found a very interesting website
for you ghosthunters to check out!
It is called
It offers a great list of things
to take with you and things to
look for on a ghost hunt.
Enjoy!
August 26 The Saga Continues...
As the days go by,
I am dealing with the fact that there is at
least one spirit in my house. I believe it is male.
I see it almost everynight as it paces in front of my
bedroom door. It is a dark figure in the shape of
a man. When I take pictures it shows up as an
orb of light. I don't feel the least bit threatened
by it, but it is a little disconcerting when you awake
suddenly to see it outside your bedroom door.
This is not the first time I have lived in a
place that was haunted. In fact very few places
I have lived in have not been haunted.
It brings a question to mind.
Am I just being drawn to these places?
Or are most abodes haunted?
I have been in a lot of places that weren't
inhabited by spirits, so I am leaning to the
concluscion that I am drawn to them.
The cats kind of freak at times in the house.
They start hissing and spitting for no reason,
at least no visible reason. They run and hide at
times. The dog barks and whines at the same
time. And then he wants to go outside.
So as I deal with this spirit, in that coming
to an agreement with it, to not scare me,
or bug the animals I think, maybe we can
come to terms with living together.
Hopefully.... August 14 What Do You See?Tonight I just want to share a couple
of photos with you. These photos were
taken here at my home in the last month or so.
I noticed that there was something odd about them.
I am hoping that you will spot what I am seeing,
and can tell me I am not imagining it.
My hubby has also noticed the oddities.
Let me know what you see.
Denise
July 31 Remodeling WoesOne day my husband and I were visiting friends.
They had just purchased their first home, and of course,
they were thrilled to death with it.
After a few hours, I became convinced that the house
was haunted. The house itself was about 60 years old,
and needed quite abit of work to make it into the showplace it
used to be. They had decided it would be an investment, and if all things worked out to their satisfaction, this would
become a lucrative sideline for them.
I wasn't so convinced that it was going to happen
exactly the way they planned it, but I wasn't going to
be a wet blanket. So in the nature of friends, I offered
to help with shopping for fixtures, lighting, etc.
My friend and I had a lot of fun spending her monies on
things for the house. And my favorite place to go was Lowe's or
Home Depot. I just love shopping for house remodeling.
We found a perfect vanity/sink for the master bath. It was one of those old looking kinds that had a basin in the shape of an old bowl on top, and the faucet fixture we picked looked like an old hand pump. After finding the right tub, with claw feet, and the same kind of faucet for it, all that was left was the toilet.
That proved to be a little harder, because wanting to keep the same theme going, I convinced her she had to have one that you
pulled on a chain to flush. Am I right? Yes I am!
So we finally found one an antique store, that was in great shape and just needed to be re-enameled. The store owner knew of a person that would get the job done correctly and quickly for a song. At least I thought it was a song.
A couple of weeks later, we were invited over to see the
newly finished master bath.
It was absolutely gorgeous! The faucets gleaming, toilet sparkling,
the wire bath rack with all the bath oils/beads, it was so pretty.
I loved the color scheme she had picked out, a muted mauve/grey/blue tile adorned the walls, and floors.
The rugs, towels and accessories matched perfectly. I wanted the bathroom to be mine!
We all went back to the sitting room, and started chatting about the next room to be made over, when the toilet started flushing.
No one was in the bathroom, so I had a fairly good idea that the
presence I had sensed before was making it's debut as well.
As the evening wore on, the toilet started flushing more often
whenever we started talking about the kitchen make-over they were planning to do next. When I suggested doing the master bedroom first the toilet stopped flushing. Then on a whim, I stated maybe they were right and the kitchen should be done first. The toilet started flushing again. Interesting, huh?
I think that 'it' didn't want the kitchen touched. I even said as much. The toilet stopped flushing. As the evening drew to a close, I told my friend to see if the toilet only flushed when they talked about re-doing the kitchen. She agreed to try.
Two days later she told me that was they only time the toilet flushed by itself, when they discussed the kitchen. So they decided to put it off for last.
The rest of the house took nearly a year to finish, and they had made it into a showplace to be proud of. The only room left was the kitchen. So we started the last of the shopping excursions.
We picked out gourmet appliances, and gleaming fixtures. Even though the rest of the house had been done with an eye to the past, they wanted a modern kitchen with all the goodies.
As the day came when the kitchen was to be gutted, the toilet overflowed. Then the tub stopped up. The sink got clogged, and no plumber could fix it. The message was perfectly clear...
Don't Mess with the Kitchen!
So they decided rather than paying out tons of money, to keep fixing things that weren't broken, they would take a slightly lower price on the house and leave the kitchen re-do to the next owners. To this day, I don't think that kitchen has ever been
completely redone. July 28 Seeing Babies
You know how some people predict things?
Well, I am able to tell my closest women friends
when they are expecting, before they ever have an idea that they might be.
This is sometimes a very funny thing, especially with
one friend who got knocked up when her daughter was only two months old! Her husband got to her
when she was still asleep and she didn't even remember him touching her. Needless to say, when she came into work right after getting off maternity leave, I was suprised to see she was pregnant again.
She was very doubtful at first, but since I had told her when she was pregnant with her daughter, she took a pregnancy test! She wasn't too happy! But then after realizing it had happened she became excited!
My other friend was getting married in four months when I told her she was pregnant. She went home, took a test, and immediately called me. Asking how I had known. I really didn't know what to tell her except that I could just see it. She then proceeded to starve herself for the next four months just to fit into her wedding dress, even though I had suggested she go up one size at the time she ordered it.
Oh well, some people just don't listen. Then when my very best friend got pregnant, I really didn't want to tell her, because I sensed something was wrong. But rather than wait, I went ahead and told her. Two days later she miscarried. I had suggested she go to her ob/gyn at the same time I told her, but she had to make an appointment for a couple of weeks later. I was very sad for her.
This happened twice more. I told her that from now on I wasn't going to tell her anymore.
So if I ever get close to you and sense your preggers, take my word for it, okay? July 22 Afraid of the Dark |
